Course Overview
RT PST is a refresher course designed for seafarers who have previously completed BST. It updates and reinforces survival skills to ensure continued readiness at sea.
The programme covers abandoning ship procedures, correct use of lifejackets and lifeboats, emergency signals, and practical techniques for surviving at sea.
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must meet all of the following criteria before enrolling in the RT-PST course.
Valid BST Certificate
Must already hold a valid BST certificate with Personal Survival Techniques component completed from a recognised institution.
Valid Indian Passport & INDOS Number
A valid Indian passport and a registered INDOS (Indian National Database of Seafarers) number are mandatory for all applicants.
CDC (Continuous Discharge Certificate)
A valid Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) is required as proof of seafarer service and identity.
